Spinach- 1 bunch
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Onion -1
Green Chilli - 2
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Garlic - 3 pieces
Salt - As required
3. Switch off in 3 whistles
4. In a pan, add oil, cumin seeds, asafoetida, garlic. Saute for few minutes
5. Add Onion, Green Chilli and all spicy powders
6. Make sure the raw smell goes away and add it to boiled toor dal
7. Add salt and allow it to boil for 2 minutes and switch off the flame
Serve this with hot rice with Papadam/Appalam or pickle.

1. Clean Spinach with running water
2. In a pressure cooker, add Toor dal, Water as required, Spinach, Turmeric Powder and little bit oil4. In a pan, add oil, cumin seeds, asafoetida, garlic. Saute for few minutes
5. Add Onion, Green Chilli and all spicy powders
6. Make sure the raw smell goes away and add it to boiled toor dal
7. Add salt and allow it to boil for 2 minutes and switch off the flame
